From January 26 through February 3, The 19th Annual Zora Neale Hurston Festival of the Arts and Humanities comes to Eatonville.

The festival celebrates African American contributions to American cultural history, inspired by the literary talents and influence of Zora Neale Hurston, a central figure in the Harlem Renaissance. This year’s theme is “Ritual and Spirituality in the African Diaspora: An Exploration of the Zora Neale Hurston Legacy.”

There will be museum exhibits, panel discussions, artwork of local youth, performances, and workshops. For a full schedule, head over to Zora Festival 2008 ‘At a Glance’ for complete listings of daily events.
